Chaska Halliday

Chaska trained from a young age at Brent Street Studios and went on to complete her Certificate IV in Performing Arts there. Australia was first introduced to her vocal talent when she was a teenager on Channel 7’s X Factor as a part of top-10 singing group XOX. Next, Chaska appeared in the feature film The Sapphires, before being cast in the world tour of the critically acclaimed, ARIA-nominated show Velvet, as a featured vocalist alongside Marcia Hines. In 2016, Chaska made her musical theatre debut in Disney’s Aladdin, which toured Australia and Asia. Chaska performed in the hit show Pigalle for the Sydney Festival, before securing the role of Liz and understudy to Mamma Morton in GFO’s acclaimed production of Chicago. Recently, Chaska performed in Australia’s first post-COVID theatre production, Pippin, understudying the iconic Lead Player role, followed by The Hayes Theatre Co’s production of Half Time, playing Kendra.
